Two years ago, Studio Other’s journey with an iconic NBA team began. With a team as highly-regarded, unmistakable and loved as this one, Studio Other, their partner, architecture and design firm Gensler, and the client, agreed that the end solution needed to strongly express their brand and reflect who they are as an organization. In fact, this brand expression was taken towards its purist and most literal form, with elements of nets and basketballs expected in the final designs.

The event was held at the Steelcase WorkLife Center in Los Angeles, California on May 12th. The Los Angeles Women in Design event kicked off with a panel discussion where notable women in the industry discussed their personal experiences in their respective fields, navigating tough conversations and sharing what they have learned throughout their careers. Tangram has committed to sponsoring this ongoing series, with the next panel event taking place in San Francisco.

Studio Other, a creator of custom solutions for commercial interior environments and workspaces, is pleased to announce its partnership with Inside Evolutions – a southern Texas based manufacturer of commercial furniture.Studio Other’s services have expanded their service offerings with their recent Inside Evolutions partnership to include South Texas regions Houston, San Antonio and Austin. This partnership provides Studio Other customers direct access to all services provided by Inside Evolutions including, design and furniture creation, project management and warranty support. Studio Other together with Inside Evolutions have their core missions aligned – a customer-centric approach curated from personal relationships.

At Studio Other we place great emphasis on intentional manufacturing and distribution practices that minimize pollution and leave a smaller carbon footprint. For those reasons, we work with local Los Angeles vendors whenever possible. When sourcing items for our holiday gift this year, a custom herb box, our team became familiar with LA Laser Cutting Services located in East Los Angeles.

‍Chris Fong is joining the Studio Other team as an Industrial Design Consultant, bringing similar experience from his last role at MASHstudios. Born in Honolulu, this now-Angeleno spends as much time as possible out riding waves, catching art openings or launching his ceramic side hustle. Plus, Chris is a Chinatown resident and would love to show you his favorite local spots.
